Your ultimate guide to U.S. Road Trip itinerary for cross country
A fruitful US road trip cross- country experience
There are very few things that come closer to the feeling of being lost in adventure, wind in your hair, picturesque natural beauty and infinite road in front of you. If you are ready for a fun and once in a lifetime cross country road trip then this blog is for you.
We have made a list of all the quintessential pit stops on the route for you. Which route do we recommend? There is no individual answer to it. Everyone has their own preferences and personality so start from any point. We will be happy as long as you take the first step. But if you ask us, we will sway in the direction of wind and you will arrive where you are meant to be.
Let’s have a look at our favourite points on the route;
Seattle, the stunning city known for its Space needle cityscape and brewing coffee culture (see what we did there) could be a great pit stop before you move forward to east. Indulge your taste buds in a great cup of coffee from Storyville Coffee Company and while you are at it, grab a cup of artisanal Greek Yougurt from Ellenos. It is located at Pike Place Market. Just a short drive from Seattle and you will see Snoqualmie Falls. It is a great location if you are into hiking and getting a great view while getting a cardio in.
If you are planning to stay the night, book a room at Inn at the Market. The accomodation gives a stunning view of the waterfalls. Do not forget to take some pictures for your Instagram family.
Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
Most people visit Coeur d’Alene for its lake front dining experience and serene vibe. If you are someone who enjoys that, do give this place a try. Have a delicious dinner at Terraza Waterfront Café which is located in the heart of Idaho. The cuisine served is majorly Latin American so make sure you have your spice tolerance in check. Grab a snack while looking at Lake Coeur d’Alene and soaking all the beauty in.
You can also sign up for a guided tour of Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch and meet some adorable and friendly alpacas. Who knows you might end up making friends with them?
West Glacier, Montana
The third place on our list has been secured by West Glacier, Montana. If you ask us, what’s so special about this place, we might end up writing a thesis on the beauty of this stunning location. But we will spare you the details and get straight to the most visited locations.
Visitors enjoy staying at Great Northern Resort not only for its unique location but also for adrenaline shooting sports such as white – water rafting, fly fishing, and many more. When you think you have done enough water sports for a lifetime, make your way to Montana House in Apgar Village to rest your senses for a bit.
When we think about Jackson, we cannot help but admire the beauty of America’s first national park, Yellowstone National Park. Does the park need any introduction? We don’t think so. Catch the majestic site of hot springs erupting in different colours or take pictures of natural geysers and cascading waterfalls all encompassed in Yellowstone.
If you really want to see Yellowstone in its full bloom, make sure you reach the national park at early hours to beat the crowd and steal look from wildlife creatures such as moose, elk, deer, black bears to name a few. It is not only a great place to see nature but also a perfect place to rejuvenate before you move forward to your next stop.
Rapid City, South Dakota
Look at us! already at the end of the list. Time does fly really fast. As always, we have saved our personal favourite for the last. We are talking about Rapid City, South Dakota. If you are on this adventurous road-trip with your other half, then make the most of this time by taking them on a scenic drive through the Black Hills National Forest.
Have a drink at Bavarian Inn Black Hills Hotel, the hotel is located in Custer and is just half-an hour drive away from Mount Rushmore National Park.
This brings us to the end. We would love to hear about your experiences visiting these places.
If females are planning to have a solo road trip then this blog will further guide you to plan a solo road trip.
